The ROBO Pro visual programming language is simple enough to allow middle school students to begin learning robotic programming and complex enough to allow professional engineers to model complex industrial processes. The graphic programming language ROBO Pro provides all the key elements of a modern programming language, such as arrays, functions, recursions, objects, asynchronous events and quasiparallel processing, making it a useful tool even for professional programmers. It basically comprises the following features,
- programing of flow charts consisting of various software building blocks.
- The exchange of the data between the software building blocks and the subprograms can be done through variables and graphical connections. This allows the program functions to be shown in an understandable manner.
- It's easy to write teach-in programs or exchange data with other Windows software.
- In an Online mode, it is possible to control multiple ROBO Pro interfaces in parallel (for large-scale models) - and to make custom control panels which include switches, controllers, display elements, keyboard and mouse.
- Subroutines are stored in a library and and can now be used without having to understand the internal workings in the subroutine. Beginners will find it easy to grasp even complex programs.
- Programs are translated directly into machine language for efficient execution of even the most complex programs. ROBO Pro is a real compiler that generates machine code for maximum program execution speed and complete access to controller features.
- An editor menu allows you to select your experience level so beginners see only basic language elements while advanced users have access to a comprehensive development system.
- Requires Fischertechnik ROBO Controller and Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP.
