Robotic Machine Tending System- A pre-engineered standard robotic machine tending system designed to be used with multiple brands and makes of machine tools. Designed to conserve floor space & maximize flexibility, Rimrock?s robotic tending system (RTS) utilizes a gantry track mounted inverted six axis ABB robot. The standard machine tending robot is an ABB IRB 140, with an optional upgrade to the ABB IRB 1600 for increased reach & payload capacity. The unique gantry robot tending system can be configured to load from conveyor, pallets, or carts. Primary benefits of RTS use include elimination of cart changeover downtime, quick system relocation, and the incorporation of a variety of secondary processing equipment modules. Optional processing modules include part washing, light debur, heat treat, vapor blast, marking, and inspection stations, among others.
