Common power sources activate the robotic arm's muscles are electric, pneumatics or hydraulic. Types of driving power are carefully selected in order to provide the power required by the application that the robotic arm served. For instance, generally heavy duty robotic arms are driven by hydraulic. On the other hand, sometimes it is selected for simple economical reason - pneumatic is used in pick and place robot because it is cheap, which is also satisfies the application requirement.
